DALLAS, Texas – April 30, 2009 — Hanley Wood and Veronafiere have announced a cooperative agreement which will provide a mutual exchange of services and marketing programs benefiting Hanley Wood's World of Concrete and Veronafiere's Samoter events.

World of Concrete, over 35 years strong, is the ONLY annual international commercial construction show for the concrete and masonry industries. World of Concrete has been recognized by Tradeshow Week as one of the Fastest 50 Tradeshows in both 2007 and 2008, with targeted areas on the show floor including The Producer Center, Material Handling, Concrete Repair and Demolition, World of Masonry and Technology for Construction.

Samoter is the only Italian trade show directly sponsored by the CECE (the Committee for European Construction Equipment), within CECE's triennial trade-show calendar. The show features the full range of construction equipment and machinery and primarily focuses on three key markets: Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean Basin. An entire section is devoted to components, a sector where Italy is among the leading producers.

"Hanley Wood is very pleased to expand upon the relationship with Veronafiere. This cooperative agreement will assist in the promotion of WOC to the European marketplace and Samoter to the North American marketplace," said Galen Poss, President, Hanley Wood Exhibitions.

"I am very pleased with this next step in the development of the Hanley Wood Exhibitions/Veronafiere strategic partnership. Less than one year ago, we created a co-brand, StonExpo/Marmomacc America, consolidating its role as the leading North American trade show for natural stone and related technology and design. Today's agreement between World of Concrete and Samoter will help strengthen both brands in the U.S. and Europe," said Flavio Piva, Co-Chief Executive Officer, VeronaFiere.

In July 2008, Hanley Wood's StonExpo, the leading natural stone trade show in the United States, and Veronafiere's Marmomacc, the world's largest trade fair in the stone and design sector, announced their strategic alliance and the rebranding of StonExpo to StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas. This alliance resulted in a solid, three-day event filled with quality attendees, intense education and exhibitors ready to do business.

World of Concrete will continue to create an important and vital marketplace for both attendees and exhibitors at World of Concrete 2010, February 2-5; Seminars 1-5, back again in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Visit the newly redesigned and dynamic World of Concrete website, full of brand new user-friendly features and technology to help buyers and sellers connect before, during and after the show at www.worldofconcrete.com.

Samoter 2011, March 2-6 in Verona, Italy, will bring together the best production equipment, services and new technologies with a focus on sustainability with the most important international producers and operators in the construction market, infrastructures and major works, over 5 days of intense activity and initiatives focusing on business. It will also unite national and international institutions, public administrations, Italian and international trade associations, professionals, building companies, road companies, dealers and university institutes to further develop and analyze this important global industry.
